Plant Consumption Data: The only information Herbyvore collects is the plants you choose to enter into the app. This data is stored only on your device.

No Personal Information: We do not ask for, collect, or store any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, location, or contact details.

Barcode Scanning

- Open Food Facts API: When you scan a barcode, Herbyvore will contact the Open Food Facts API to look up product information. The request payload includes only the barcode you have scanned. Their privacy policy can be found here: https://world.openfoodfacts.org/privacy

How Your Information Is Used

The data you enter is used solely to help you track your plant consumption over time.

Your entries remain on your device indefinitely, unless you delete them yourself (by uninstalling the app or clearing app data).

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on your device.

Herbyvore does not transmit, share, or upload your plant consumption data to any servers. The only network requests occur during barcode scanning to the Open Food Facts API as described above.

Since data is stored only on your device, you are responsible for managing backups and securing access to your device.

Sharing of Information

Herbyvore does not share your plant consumption data with third parties. For barcode scanning, we contact the Open Food Facts API as described above. We do not send any personal information.

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information.

Children’s Privacy

Herbyvore does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no personal information is collected, the app is safe for all ages to use.
